Features of Rock Wool Sandwich Panels
Rock wool sandwich panels use high-quality raw materials, advanced production processes, and specialized formulations to ensure excellent fire resistance performance..
The thermal insulation performance of rock wool sandwich panels is based on the thermal conductivity of rock wool, which is 0.043 W/m·K. The insulation performance is calculated according to the corresponding thickness and proportion of the rock wool core material.
Rock wool sandwich panels significantly reduce noise transmission and are especially suitable for areas exposed to aircraft noise. In addition, when used as roofing panels, they effectively reduce indoor noise caused by rain or hail impacting the steel roof surface. At the same time, rock wool sandwich panels offer excellent sound absorption performance and can absorb sound across a relatively wide frequency range.
The overall stiffness of rock wool sandwich panels is far superior to that of on-site composite panels made with pressure plates and rock wool (glass wool). After being fixed to the purlins through connectors, the panels greatly improve the overall rigidity of the roof and enhance the structural performance of the roofing system.
Rock wool roof panels adopt a buckling connection method, which helps avoid the hidden risk of water leakage at roof panel joints while reducing the number of required fittings.
Rock wool roof panels use special M6 self-tapping screws to connect the panels to the purlins, effectively resisting external forces such as typhoons. The self-tapping screws are installed at the crest position on the upper surface of the roof panel, and a special waterproof design is applied to eliminate weak waterproof points.
Rock wool sandwich panels require no secondary processing on-site, which not only keeps the surrounding environment clean and avoids affecting other construction processes, but also greatly shortens the installation period. The average daily installation area can reach 600–800 square meters.
